On Sunday march 20th we had the privilege of attending Palazzo Disco in Playa del Carmen to watch an exhilarating performance from Alyssa Edwards, Laganja Estranja and Gia Gunn. To say that these three standouts from previous seasons of RuPaul’s Drag Race brought the house down is to fall short when describing a show filled with adrenaline, humor, sickening dance moves, a lipsyncing extravaganza and overall an explosion of talent.
First up was Gia Gunn, who played homage to Selena and other latin divas by lipsyncing to some of the most iconic songs from the mexican songbook. Dressed in a mariachi-inspired outfit, Gia won the hearts of all the attendees by perfectly mouthing along every word from the songs we’ve all known and loved since we were young. She interacted with the audience in fluent spanish, making sure everyone in the club was laughing at the hilarious stories from her trips to Mexico and the sixth season of the show. To close her performance she showed off her amazing dance skills to the beat of David Guetta, Afrojack and Wynter Gordon’s Toyfriend.
Next up was Alyssa Edwards, looking drop-dead gorgeous as always. She showed off her comedic skills with a hysterical monologue, sharing some of the funniest anecdotes of her experience in Cancun earlier that day and her time on RuPaul’s Drag Race, all while interacting with the audience from the dance floor. After toasting with everyone in the club and picking some fans to join her, she returned to the stage to host the first-ever Alyssa Edwards’ Twerking Contest in Playa del Carmen.
After Alyssa, it was time for Laganja Estranja to take the stage performing her own song “Legs”. Laganja came out rocking with out-of-this-world dance moves, leaving the audience in awe of her beauty and her ability to do a death drop from the bar and making it seem as the easiest thing ever. To say Laganja is a great talent when it comes to dancing doesn’t do her justice, you could hear the gasps from everyone at the club as we saw her dance her way from the stage to the VIP lounge to the bar to the dance floor and back on stage, it was without a doubt an adrenaline rush.
To close the show the three beautiful queens came back to grace the stage with a wonderful dance performance each and a group number, showing us their great chemistry and a lot of Charisma, Uniqueness, Nerve and Talent.

El domingo 20 de marzo tuvimos el honor de asistir a Palazzo en Playa del Carmen para ver una presentación impresionante de Alyssa Edwards, Laganja Estranja y Gia Gunn. Decir que estas tres concursantes destacadas de temporadas anteriores de RuPaul’s Drag Race hicieron vibrar este lugar es quedarse corto al describir un espectáculo lleno de adrenalina, humor, baile, lipsync y en general una explosión de talento.
La primera en salir fue Gia Gunn, que hizo homenaje a Selena y otras divas latinas al hacer lipsync de algunas de las canciones más emblemáticas del cancionero mexicano. Vestida con un traje de mariachi, Gia ganó los corazones de todos los asistentes con canciones que todos hemos conocido y amado desde que éramos jóvenes. Ella interactuó con el público hablando perfectamente en español, asegurándose de que todos en Palazzo se divirtieran con historias muy graciosas de sus viajes a México y la sexta temporada de la serie. Para cerrar su actuación mostró sus increíbles habilidades de baile al ritmo de la canción Toyfriend de David Guetta, Afrojack y Wynter Gordon.
La siguiente en el escenario fue Alyssa Edwards, luciendo guapísima como siempre. Ella mostró su excelente sentido del humor con un cómico monólogo, compartiendo algunas de las anécdotas más divertidas de su experiencia en Cancún ese mismo día y de su tiempo en RuPaul’s Drag Race, todo esto mientras interactuando con el público desde la pista de baile. Después de brindar con todos y elegir algunos fans para subir con ella, regresó al escenario para organizar el primer “Alyssa Edwards’ Twerking Contest” en Playa del Carmen.
Después de Alyssa, Laganja Estranja subió al escenario para hacer un performance de su canción «Legs». Laganja sorprendió a todos con movimientos de baile impresionantes, dejando a la audiencia maravillada por su belleza y su capacidad para hacer un death drop desde el bar y haciéndolo parecer como la cosa más fácil del mundo. Decir que Laganja es un gran talento del baile no le hace justicia, se podía oír los gritos de asombro de todos en Palazzo mientras abría su paso bailando del escenario a la sala VIP, al bar, a la pista de baile y de vuelta al escenario, sin duda fue una explosión total de adrenalina.
Para cerrar el show las tres hermosas queens regresaron al escenario con un maravilloso performance cada una y uno en grupo, mostrando al público una excelente química y mucho carisma, originalidad, osadía y talento.
